BAIA NORTE BEACH CLUB HOTEL

1.1Introduction

    The Computer has been considered as one of man’s remarkable invention. It enables man to do his work faster, easier and accurate with less effort. Computer today is a vital tool for the management of information within the organization. Computer is really big helping us in storing and keeping a data intact. Today, most of the Hotels provide goods and services using computer system. It helps to perform task in an easy way with less time consumed. Some companies are become fully automated while others strive for the similar setting. Today, many systems have used an automation process like using computer system, due to the efficient and accuracy. “Hotel Reservation System” is a transaction processing system. In this system there are more advantages rather than a manual Hotel Reservation

1.2    Back Ground of the Study

The proponents want to know the reasons of hotel in using manual reservation. The proponents conduct a study towards the topic because they notice some of the hotel still use manual reservation. The study will emphasize the effects of using manual reservation and how a computerized reservation will be substituted. Therefore, the proponents purported to find out how to increase the number of customer using computerized reservation. Hotel Baia Beach Club lies in Waterfront/ Beach of Roxas City and is close to many tourist attractions. Its offers a relaxed stays with its value for money room facilities that meets the 2 star hotels standard. It is good for business and leisure travelers. Have 10 rooms. Standard rooms are 27 sqm is size.

1.3 Overview of the Current State of Technology

The hotel reservation system is part of an accommodation system of a general hotel system. As a computer is one of the leading technologies now a day, so the proponent of  a computer based system, which fulfill all the requirements of the organization easily and will of the solution to the problem faced by manual system of Hotel. By the Computerization of this system all the records can be maintained easily. Unlike the manual system particular record cannot be found easily. There is no need to maintain register. A Data base and Web page information system is a tool, which can help the management to exercise an Effective and timely decision making. It is intended for human satisfaction. It contributes higher technology, unique and accurate out puts. The solutions or alternatives to the problems that a hotel is facing, a system was being developed which can edit, delete, update, monitor and store and secured the records of the customers.

1.4 Problem Statement

• There is no Webpage Development Information System of the Hotel.
• Have no secured storage file for keeping all information of the Hotel.
• Slow process of promoting of the Hotel Information
• Have no communication through Internet.

1.5 General Problem:

The main problem of this study is the inaccurate reservation of the customer and inaccurate information of the hotel.

1.6 General Objective:

This study aims to solve the problems encountered and to change the manual reservation system of the Hotel.

1.7 Specific Objective:

     Our goal is to provide software system that helps you to increase revenue because it saves processing time and help to provide better management for room reservation booking system.

• To create Webpage Development Information System of the Hotel.

• To Provide a secured data Base storage for the Hotel Information.
• To provide a fast accurately process for promoting Hotel Web Information Development System.
• To provide a communication of the guest through Internet.

1.8 Scope & Delimitation:

This study is conducted to know the reason behind the proponents on how will their purposed systems will help the Hotel Management. Hotel Reservation System is fully scalable and designed to provide extensive flexibility and varied choices. Typical hotel reservation and ecommerce hotel system software reservation solutions currently in place and available today are technically designed to achieve only one objective function, which is to connect buyer to seller. This study mainly focused on providing retailing business application using computerized system that enables businesses to track services and aims to provide accurate and reliable process on every transaction especially in a hotel reservation. This study looked into a better impact of using technology today on how it affects our daily lives especially for being the customer. With this studies it can help our beneficiaries to know the differences of using manual system to a computerized generation today, prioritize is to prove and to give them the right information. Hotel Reservation System is designed to manage all types of hotel bookings, made directly by guests.

1.9 The significant of the Study:

The propose of this study is to conduct a study to the company that is using manual system of customer reservation and help the company to reduce some common problems that exist. I have noticed that Baia Norte use manual system of guest reservation. With this proposal computerized reservation system the common problem exist that the hotel encountered in processing customer record will be minimized.   This Study will help the Baia Norte Beach Club hotel as regards to their online reservation system. It will allow them to manage and facilitate the job in an accurate and reliable way. The main function of the proposed Online reservation System is help the Hotel to promote and advertised and easy booking for of the guest, will also make their operation easier especially in booking and to the customer information. They will no longer supper delays when their customer needs to check in. This will also make their operation easier especially in accessing the records and customer information.

This Study will also help proponents as a student to develop the ability in making program and to apply our knowledge and ability what we have learned in schools.

My 3^rd week of my OJT its Monday again my two boss is not around whole 3^rd week of May because they have a important meeting. Then they I no assignment or task on that whole I week. My whole im on the front desk only answering the phone and welcome the guest comes to the hotel. Until the afternoon.

In the morning im still working on front desk because other employers are not around. The afternoon I realized I need to finish all my assignment. Then I create a Logo I collecting picture in the Internet. I down load Photo Shop the I Install in the computer of Baia.

My 3^rd day I try how to create a sales report of that day I using a type writers  I compute all sales report then I give to my co worker if theirs a wrong but finally  is correct. The Afternoon  I have no work for that because in he afternoon theirs no customer.

My second week of my OJT its Monday May 9 early in the morning ill go In the Company theirs customer who want to check out then he carry  his bag then ill try to help to carry his bag  then after that ill put it into his car . after that I was surprise he give me a tip 50 pesos I very happy because that they I don have an allowance.

Mrs. Altavas the wife of Mr. Ike Atavas she call me in her house he interview me about what I have to do to his hotel to make it improve. Because the Baia theirs no website I suggest to create a web site is a Blog or a face book front page. But I said to create a website it take more time. She said we talk for that if I have a time. On May 11 in the morning I started to all the paper like menu book and rules  regulation on that they I spend more time for editing That all documents  because there is many Changing  after I finish the rules and regulation I go to both ends and laminate the for copies.Illput it in side the room of the hotel.

My first day of my OJT I started my OJT on May 2 at Baia Norte Beach Club, located atBabayBeachRoxasCity. On my first day, Im very excited and also nervous because is very near to my house im not to much spend my allowance to go their, early in the morning I go to the company that I have choice according what I have proposed in my research paper. Then when I was their I waited more than 20 minutes because my boss was busy he has a important visitors. After 20 minutes he call in his office he present me a computer he ask if this ok then ill try its still working but old model computer. Then he interviews me about my personal data. And about the memo random of agreement. That’s my first day he told me ill come back tomorrow.

My second day May 3 The fist task that I give it to me on my second day is entertain the coming guest who check  in the hotel like saying good morning maam and sir. And my co worker teach how a proper answering the phone. That my 2^nd week.

May 4 my third day I create a sample logo of the hotel because I have no work for that day in the afternoon I presented it to my boss. But her secretary said Sir Ike is not around for that whole day. That why im on the front desk only.

My 4rth day May 5 of my OJT is not good because im bored because have no customer for that days then I have work and the office is close then. Ill try to know how to filing all the record of the guest of whole that why my co workers teach me all about filing records. She said tomorrow you all ready know how to file all the records.

May 6 the last day my 5^th day of my OJT I the morning I get all files of the guest first week of may and I started to separate all files like receipt and registration for in folder. That’s my whole day work I submit on my boss. That the end of my first week of my OJT.

 

My “OJT” Experience

      My success couldn’t turn into reality without this following person who with all their help to me in different ways. Above all, to our Almighty God for all His unending blessings and guidance He showered upon me for the past, for today, and for the future.

Most especially to my beloved parents whom with all their best faces, the hardship of working hard just for me to educate, this example of my success is a great chance that I will step the victory of my life. We should keep up the good work and thereafter when I should be pursuing my respective endeavor profession and occupation in the year ahead.To all my co-trainees for they became my inspirations in order to strive and pursue with my training.Despite of the many efforts, trials and hardships exerted during my training, I would like to dedicate all my accomplishments and success to our Almighty God for His many blessings showered upon me , to my loving parents for their moral and financial supports.
